Gloria Leonard served as publisher of High Society magazine for 14 years, introducing for the first time such features as nude celebrities and phone sex. She was married to porn director Bobby Hollander during the 1980’s. The couple divorced in 1990.

Gloria Leonard served as administrative director of Adult Film Association, the film industry trade association, from 1989 to 1992 until that organization merged with the Free Speech Coalition.
